Shot Breakdowns

The Witcher S3
Sequence of shots that involved integrating a redesigned Vuilpanne Castle (based on Predjama Castle) into a mountain environment.
Creative Redesign: Altering the castle and rock face per the brief.
Dynamic Tilt: Adding a top-down to tilt-down camera motion.
Technical Implementation:
Utilized CG scans/geometry for matte painting re-projection and camera animation in Nuke.
Blended Maya CG renders with original plate elements for the castle.
Added procedural red rock veins and simulated swirling smoke from Houdini.

The Tourist S2
This shot involved digitally sealing car exits and transforming the scene's background with a lake, all within Nuke, facing significant parallax and motion blur challenges across a two-part sequence.
Part A (Exit Seal): Nuke camera track, gate removal (paint-out), ground/3D gate extension (matte painting), roadblocks, AO (Ray renderer).
Part B (Lake): Tree cleanup, point cloud/Poisson mesh (projection), lake creation (deformed cards), valley/water matte painting, simulated lake reflections (specular/HDRI), foreground restoration.

War of the Worlds S3
This 3-part shot, originally 2590 frames, was composited in NukeX with a 200% retime.
Outside Wormhole: Heavily adapted Maya CG multipass render, shaped by compositing to achieve the director's vision.
Inside Wormhole: Houdini simulation of procedural clouds, composited for a dynamic passage effect.
Derelict London: Blended Maya CG render of derelict London with a drastically modified, matte-painted environment and drone footage using complex 3D projections.
